Herbal Alchemy
“Herbal alchemy” is a term that blends the ancient practice of alchemy with the use of medicinally magical herbs.
It draws on traditions from Hermeticism, spagyrics, traditional herbal medicine, and even aspects of ancient holistic healing.
Here’s a quick overview of what “herbal alchemy” can mean:
🌿 1. Spagyrics – Alchemical Herbalism
This is the classical alchemical approach to herbalism. The word comes from Greek: spao (to draw out) and ageiro (to gather).
Process:
Fermentation: to extract the “soul” (alcohol).
Distillation: to purify the “spirit”.
Calcination: burning the plant matter to ash to extract the “salt” (mineral body).
The components (soul, spirit, and body) are then recombined to create a potent tincture or elixir.
Goal: To make plant remedies that are more spiritually and physically potent.
🌿 2. Energetic & Magical Herbalism
In ritualistic traditions, herbal alchemy refers to the intentional blending of herbs for energetic or spiritual transformation.
Example Practices:
Creating herbal amulets or incense blends for purification or healing.
Using lunar or planetary timings for harvesting and preparation.
Combining herbs with crystals, oils, or metals for specific energetic goals.
🌿 3. Modern Holistic Practice
Herbal medicine integrates both traditional knowledge and modern scientific approaches. In this context, scientific and chemistry roles play a critical part in validating, standardizing, and enhancing the therapeutic use of medicinal plants and then combine that knowledge with a personalized, mind-body-spirit approach to healing with herbs. This might linclude:
Plant spirit communication or meditations.
- Prayer and intention setting.
Chakra-based herbal healing.
Intuitive or astrological herb selection.

Holistic Herbal Medicine
Holistic herbal medicine is a form of natural healthcare that combines herbal remedies with a whole-body approach to healing. Unlike conventional medicine, which often focuses on treating specific symptoms, holistic herbal medicine aims to address the root causes of illness by considering the physical, emotional, mental, and sometimes spiritual aspects of a person’s health.
Key Principles of Holistic Herbal Medicine:
Whole-Person Healing: Treats the body, mind, and spirit as interconnected.
Individualized Care: Each person receives a unique treatment plan based on their constitution, lifestyle, and symptoms.
Prevention & Balance: Focuses on maintaining balance and preventing disease before it starts.
Natural Remedies: Uses plant-based medicines like teas, tinctures, salves, and essential oils.

Healing Energy
According to TCM, it is imperative that the individual whom is processing the placenta be in a very calm, collected, peaceful and respectful frame of mind while handling the placenta. The energy surrounding the process is just as, if not even more important than the methotical act of processing in general. The placenta should be handled with the utmost of care and reverence every step of the way. The Encapsulation process requires two to three days of prep and work, back to back.
The placenta is gently cleaned, bled-out, steamed, dehydrated at specific temperatures and times, allowing necessary periods of rest in the space between. Then, it is ground down into a fine powder to be encapsulated.
It is ideal to schedule placenta care services with at least 6 weeks prior to the anticipated due date, to ensure an available slot for services, having all required paperwork completed for the legal handling and processing of the body organ, and making pick-up arrangements smoother.
